The following are NOT independent craft breweries, but are what are known as 'stealth micros' - beers that are brewed by global corporations under a pseudonym in order to appear to be from a craft brewery.



Blue Moon Brewing Co.

The original 'stealth micro' brand, with both wheat and pumpkin versions. Nowhere on the packaging, even on the kegs, does it say Blue Moon is part of the Coors empire. Don't be duped into thinking you're supporting a small brewery if you order (Coors masquerading as) Blue Moon.



Crooked Creek Brewing Co.

Stone Mill Pale Ale is brewed by Red Hook for Anheuser-Busch, who created the 'Crooked Creek Brewing Company' deception. Despite the beer being organic, The Gotham Imbiber recommends avoiding this and instead supporting a genuine craft product which is certified organic - such as Wolaver's Organic Ales.




Green Valley Brewing Co.

Wild Hop Lager contains no wild hops, and is brewed by Anheuser-Busch at their giant swill factory in Fairfield, California - which produces 136,000,000 gallons annually. Like Crooked Creek, 'Green Valley' is 100% a creation of a greedy global corporation to cash in on the booming market for fresh, local, hand-crafted beers and also the fast-growing organic beer market. Don't be duped!
