Bringing you local beer knowledge from street level, not a corporate platform!WHY CRAFT BEER? RAY DETER TRIBUTE
Promoting quality, diversity, and knowledge of beer - and (importantly) the industry that produces it.
This is a 'D.I.Y.' website; my philosophy is if you want to say something, don't just sit there - Do It Yourself!
- Alex Hall
As the last few years has seen an explosion in the number of beer brands available in New York (and where to find them), it is proving impossible to track and list everything as I did previously in Beer Demystifier. Consequently this site, plus sister site cask-ale.co.uk, will largely be focusing on cask beer information. However, I am maintaining a guide to all breweries within the five boroughs of the city, and there is 'A New York Beer & Pub Guide' that is a joint effort as a sister site to the London Beer Guide (which I'm not involved with).

The club meets every second Wednesday of the month at Mugs Ale House, 125 Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (in the back room). Everybody is welcome, there is usually at least one guest from the craft beer industry with samples to share. We ask for $2 from everyone attending each session (the former $20 annual dues were scrapped in January 2016).
